This position requires a hands on approach to maintaining and improving productivity as well as ensuring highly engineered, quality products. Must be a team player and work closely to achieve company goals with other members of the management team.
Responsibilities Include:
- Implement and enforce all environmental, health, safety and security programs to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
- Make recommendations to the CEO as to the need for human and or capital resources to support the objectives of the Manufacturing Department.
- Maintain an effective capital improvement program as well as the integrity of manufacturing ERP systems and to continuous improvement of Industry 4.0
- Develop, implement and maintain procedures to provide training to all Manufacturing Department personnel on an ongoing basis.
- Coordinates workflow with department supervisors and leads to set daily/weekly/monthly goals.
- Develop or implement production tracking or in-process quality control systems, analyzing production, quality control, maintenance or other operational reports to detect production problems, as needed.
- Communicates clear expectations to all direct reports in meeting overall company objectives.
- Maintain traceability of product throughout all production processes.
- Maintain an effective scrap reduction program.
- Perform Technical analysis to determine root cause for corrective action requests related to defects traced to the Manufacturing Department errors.
- Organize and manage Manufacturing Production Department to ensure on time delivery of products to customers, as per company goals.
- Provide direct supervision to Production Control Manager, Manufacturing Supervisor, Maintenance Supervisor and Lead personnel.
- Ensure a comprehensive continuous improvement program to achieve operational excellence throughout the organization.
- Establish metrics and follow KPI's to measure the success of the continuous improvement initiatives and report progress to the CEO/Vice President.
