Overview: As the Manufacturing Manager, you will be responsible for managing the production capabilities and performance of BCI. This will include working with the Production Control and Supply Chain functions to ensure that production cost and delivery metrics are being met while adhering to safety and environmental regulations along with company policies. In addition, this role will have physical plant responsibilities for all BCI sites that includes maintenance and related asset management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Primary owner or manufacturing operations (including maintenance) and facilities/asset management.
- Work in conjunction with Production Control Supervisor to improve and manage day-to-day operations of the manufacturing plant.
- Monitor and analyze production metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Collaborate with laboratory, quality assurance, and supply chain teams to optimize production processes and resolve issues.
- Responsible for improvement projects and capital projects to ensure capacities and capabilities are aligned with company growth.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity efficiency, reduce waste, improve quality, and improve safety/ergonomics.
- Implement operational policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and requlations, especially safety and environmental
- Manage the maintenance process for Operations department.
- Responsible for facilities and asset management at all locations; maintain systems to ensure the highest level of infrastructure performance.
- Manage the plant budget, including cost control and resource allocation, to achieve financial targets.
- Primary owner of Human Resource responsibilities at Shartlesville facility, including staff development.
- Prepare and present regular reports on plant performance, including production output, safety incidents, and operational challenges, to senior management.
- Primary owner of the Shartlesville facility.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years in a managerial role within the chemical industry or similar environment
- Strong understanding of chemical manufacturing processes, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
- Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in production management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
