Position Location: Onalaska, WI
Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 8:00pm – 6:00am
Compensation Structure: Starting wage of $26.00-$31.00/hour + $3/hour shift differential, dependent upon experience. Pay increase opportunity twice annually!

Purpose & Summary:
The Maintenance Technician oversees day-to-day mechanical maintenance of equipment, infrastructure, and systems to ensure safety, regulatory compliance, operating efficiency, and cost minimization. This role is crucial in supporting the achievement of business goals through effective maintenance practices.
Responsibilities include:
- Conduct urgent and ongoing repairs, ensuring all maintenance needs are handled on time and within budget.
- Perform preventive maintenance to minimize future equipment issues, focusing on condition-based maintenance strategies.
- Assist the Facilities Maintenance team as needed, including operating forklifts for baling operations.
Education & Experience:
- Required Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: 3-5 years in manufacturing maintenance, preferably in a warehouse setting.
Successful Candidate Profile:
- A proactive individual with a strong sense of urgency and the ability to work independently.
- A problem-solver with the ability to analyze and address technical issues effectively.
- Someone who can read and interpret blueprints and manuals, and communicate effectively with team members.
Skills & Abilities:
- Knowledge:
- Required: Safety practices, mechanical knowledge (machinery, hydraulics, conveyors), maintenance programs (LOTO, predictive maintenance).
- Preferred: OSHA training, electrical troubleshooting, CMMS.
- Skills:
- Required: Positive attitude, basic communication and computer skills, mechanical troubleshooting, and repair skills.
- Preferred: Experience with large mechanical equipment, forklift maintenance, some welding.
- Abilities:
- Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work effectively.
- Critical thinking and attention to detail.
- Ability to operate forklifts and scissor lifts (preferred).
Certifications & Requirements:
- Required: Valid Driver's License
- Preferred: Certificates in industrial maintenance or electro-mechanical fields.
