Maintenance Manager:
2nd shift
Responsibilities:
Implements a preventive maintenance program for all equipment for cost and downtime reduction. Plans and executes major equipment projects overhaul for long-lasting, maintainable results on various pieces of equipment. Plans for and handles emergencies while continuing to maintain the preventive maintenance program so that emergencies are continually reduced.
Implements work order, backlog, control, and job assignment systems that gain requester and subordinate support.
Ensures compliance with quality assurance, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), safety, and other company programs and procedures.
Develops or revises standard operational and working practices and observes workers ensure compliance with standards.
Oversees the training of plant employees in proper and safe equipment operation.
Responsible for the demolition and physical changes made to the buildings. Maintains interior building structures for longer asset life at minimum cost.
Sources and oversees project installation of non-charter new machinery.
Hires and oversees outside contractors and service providers as appropriate.
Develops and maintains good housekeeping, waste management, air quality, and water quality.
Maintains clean and organized work area.
Understands and ensures compliance with local, county, and state health, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, wastewater, water quality, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and other government agency codes and regulations.
Assists in inspections and audits by local, county, and state health departments; Food and Drug Administration (FDA); Brand Reputation through Compliance (BRC); Kosher/Organic certification organizations; NJDEP and customers. Ensures compliance with policies and regulations formulated by these organizations as they relate to facilities.
May travel to various locations to attend training or for other duties.
Manages maintenance activities within budget.
Keeps management team abreast of maintenance activities.
Participates as an active member of the management team.
Works to maintain and improve the quality, legality, and safety of each product and the processes used in their manufacturing. Responsible for keeping assigned work area clean and tidy at all times and reporting any potential contamination and suspicious activity to a Supervisor immediately.
Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications:
B.S. degree (A.A.) or better in at least one of the following preferred:
Electrical Construction and Maintenance; Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Technologies; or Mechanical Engineering
Knowledge of HVAC, refrigeration, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing repairs.
Knowledge of equipment set-up, functions, operating procedures, and preventative maintenance techniques.
Minimum 5 years relevant experience in an automated plant, bakery preferred.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, operating and maintenance instructions, and governmental regulations. Ability to read and interpret diagrams and blueprints. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information to and respond to questions from employees, managers, clients, customers, and the business community. Working knowledge of Spanish preferred.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word processing software, Excel spreadsheet software and Outlook email software; and preventative maintenance software. Knowledge of CAD software is helpful.

Maintenance Supervisor

Responsibilities:
Meets with appropriate departments involved with weekly production schedules. Generates Maintenance shift schedule based on team meetings, line inspections, preventive maintenance (PM) requirements, work orders, and available resources.
Manages contractor work as required and as assigned.
Maintains detailed records of completed repairs, rebuilds, and line inspections.
Assesses, trains, mentors, and motivates direct reports, providing training and development to optimize their performance and personal growth.
Communicates performance standards and expectations to employees, recognizing and rewarding individual and team accomplishments and counseling performance problems.
Coordinates, monitors, and utilizes the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Performs root cause analysis of machine downtime and recommends changes.
Utilizes the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to assess progress against objectives.
Conducts PM and work order audits.
Trains subordinates as needed in CMMS.
Coordinates major maintenance and capital projects as they occur across shifts.
Maintains plant facilities and grounds in accordance with relevant regulations, company and regulatory standards, and fiscal considerations.
Assists in the development of policies and procedures related to maintenance and safety.
Keeps abreast of the latest manufacturing technologies systems and engineering concepts to continually improve plant performance.

Qualifications
A high school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) is required.
Knowledge of equipment set-up, functions, operating procedures, and preventative maintenance techniques.
Basic knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is preferred.
Ability to read instructions, maintenance manuals, drawings, and specifications.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience working in a maintenance department, preferably in an automated food processing plant.
Ability to read and interpret work orders, operating manuals, and maintenance instructions to complete machine rebuilds and repairs. Ability to complete forms detailing maintenance work performed.
Knowledge of preventative maintenance software is preferred.
Maintenance Planning Supervisor:
The Maintenance Planner- Project Scheduler is responsible for the execution of all activities deployed from the Maintenance department, which include both scheduled weekly plans and non-chartered projects. It also requires scheduling and coordination of departmental materials and resources. Interacts with departments to achieve company goals. Leads the reliability centered maintenance initiative.
Responsibilities
Meets with appropriate departments involved with weekly production schedules and generates department schedule based on production and maintenance requirements.
Maintain a two week planned maintenance schedule.
Lead reliability focused plans for the top 5 bad actors.
Schedules contractor(s) for equipment repairs/rebuild work along with projects.
Assigns Supervisors to lead projects by equipment of responsibility.
Maintains electronic and hard copy records of completed maintenance activities as generated by the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
Directs Stock Room Administrator and Purchasing Specialist to insure materials are available as needed.

Assists in preparing major equipment bids, and recommends purchases when replacement or new equipment is required. Represents the company's position and interests in dealing with outside contractors, vendors, and engineering consultants.
Keeps abreast of latest manufacturing technologies and systems and engineering concepts to continually improve plant performance.

Responsibilities:
Maintains the following equipment: Ammonia refrigeration system, Freon packaged refrigeration units and building heating and air conditioning equipment, high and low pressure steam boiler systems, thermal oil process boiler systems, hot water generator, thermal oxidizer, compressed air systems, electrical distribution equipment, building sprinkler systems, and any other supporting equipment as directed by management.
Performs duties as assigned by the Utilities Supervisor, Systems Area Lead and/or Maintenance Supervisor
Ensures continuous operation of all the facility utility systems and peripheral equipment to support the requirements of the production schedule and facility conditions. This requires proper coordination of all operations and maintenance utilities equipment.
Coordinates both internal and external resources for maintenance of the facility.
Assists in the development of all environmental programs required from local, state, and federal agencies.
Assists in the recordkeeping and training requirements for all components of the Process Safety Management/Risk (PSM/RMP management plans to achieve compliance with state and federal guidelines.
Provides technical analysis and services to provide real-time data on the status of refrigeration and operational equipment.
Takes a leadership role on the emergency response team in the event of the release of hazardous chemicals.
Maintains boiler cooling tower chemistry to insure safe and proper boiler operation. Works with the water treatment supplier to assure the equipment is operating correctly.
Assures the ammonia compressors are operating safely and efficiently to reduce energy consumption.
Performs preventative maintenance on equipment to maintain good working conditions.
Troubleshoots electrical, mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and plumbing.
Utilizes drawings, technical records, and vendor diagrams to complete Preventative Maintenance documents (PM’s) related to machine overhauls and repairs.
Handles maintenance emergencies as required.
Completes duties in accordance with quality assurance, Good Manufacturing Practices, safety, and other company programs and procedures, and in accordance with government codes and regulations.
Maintains clean, organized, and safe work area, including wiping and washing equipment and tools; sweeping and mopping floors; trash removal.

As a Maintenance Lead, you will coordinate and work with a crew of skilled technicians to keep our facilities and equipment in top condition. You will handle both planned and unplanned maintenance tasks, ensuring efficient use of time and resources. You will also provide technical guidance and problem-solving skills to meet our customers’ expectations. This role requires you to fill in as a Shift Maintenance Supervisor when needed.
Accountabilities:
Works as an active member of the shift team performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks.
Maintains detailed records of completed repairs, rebuilds, and line inspections
Manages contractor work as required and as assigned.
Communicates with the team regarding performance standards and expectations.
