Assignment Type: Temp to Perm Role – 30-90 day probational period before converted to permanent employee.
Schedule: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift are available:
- 1st: 4am – 230pm, Mon – Thurs
- 2nd: 230pm – 1am, Mon – Thurs (gets 10% shift differential while working 2nd shift)
- 3rd: 5am – 530pm, Fri – Sun (15% shift differential)
Job Description:
- Machine Operator Brake Press (Brake Press, Plasma, Laser, and Turret) is to perform the duties that facilitate the assembly and fabrication of products, in a manufacturing environment, primarily using sheet metal manipulation machinery.
- The primary role of the Machine Operator Brake Press (Brake Press, Plasma, Laser, and Turret) is to perform the duties that facilitate the assembly and fabrication of products, in a manufacturing environment, primarily using sheet metal manipulation machinery.
- Ability to use metal working manipulation machinery (brake, plasma, laser, shear, saw, punch etc.).
- Brake press operators will need to be able to program the Brake press machines from a blueprint - blueprint reading is a must for a Brake press operator.
- Completion of high school or equivalent education (additional education or apprenticeship program which compliments the operator's performance is preferred).
- Experience with all safe practices, procedures, and overall processes associated with manufacturing from raw materials to finished product.
- Must be able to carry, lift, and transport equipment/material weighing up to 30 lbs.
- Experience with Accupress or Safan Brake presses preferred. Prima Turrets and Bystronic Lasers is a huge plus (not required though). No programming required for Turrets but operators need to know sheet metal Types and sizes.
