Selectek has a need for a Manufacturing Engineering Technician to join their clients team. This role will be responsible for creating implementation plans for new and existing products.
Responsibilities of the position:
The Manufacturing Engineering Technician accomplishes the companys vision by creating implementation plans for new and existing products. This position must be dedicated to coaching and serving Customer Service, Continuous Improvement, Engineering, Quality, Sales, and Production, providing the necessary communication and team involvement.

Term of assignment: 6 months temp to perm
Pay method when direct: Hourly eligible for overtime pay
Pay range: $20/hour- $30/hour ($41,000 $63,000 annual salary)
Location of job: Woodstock, GA
Hours and shift: Monday - Thursday 7am - 4:30 pm / Friday 7am - 11am

Responsibilities of the position:
- Report any safety hazard and incident immediately to the appropriate department and first responder team if necessary
- Consider and implement any safety precaution necessary within each assigned project.
- Schedule kick-off meeting for new product implementation
- Coordinate with production to determine personnel needs for new product start-ups and work cell development
- Organize new product launch based on customer requirements.
- Confirm that WI or DAI Instructions are complete before product is released to production
- Verify tooling and assembly fixtures are completed and certified before product is released to production
- Measure and report actual production times vs. quoted production times
- Manage new product launches and ensure all documents are completed as required
- Evaluate existing production assemblies being produced inefficiently based on feedback from the production floor, time studies and/or system based reports
- Coordinate production transfers from Woodstock facility to Mexico facility including material, tooling and fixture transfers to prevent abandoned resources
- Assist/Provide fixture and program (testing) solutions to production
- Any other tasks as direct by management
- Working overtime / weekends may be required with short notice
- 2 year associates degree or applicable industry experiences
- Capable of reading blueprints
- Microsoft Office proficiency
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of 4th shift production software system and Visibar
