Position - Manufacturing Engineering Support Tech
Location- Delaware, OH 43015 (Onsite from Day 1)
Duration- 06+ Months Contract
Job Description:
The quality technician contributes to the quality of processes and products by performing audits, inspections, and testing.
Provides production expertise to resolve quality issues within the production operation, taking corrective action to rectify nonconformance issues.
Reports quality issue data and ensures the quality management system is adhered to at all stages.
Inspects and tests incoming parts from supply chain companies, performs first article inspection, calibrates tools and gauges, analyses customer returns, controls documents, and assists with disposition of nonconforming product.
Required Skills:
Verify that established quality and production processes are being followed through in-process quality inspections and help administer corrective actions when it is found that the processes are not being followed.
Develop procedures, work instructions, and forms to support production processes.
Administer the document control system.
Review and store production inspection records.
Assist with production training in soldering and ESD prevention.
Address issues that arise during production builds.
Conduct incoming inspection of purchased parts to ensure conformance to required specifications, address and escalate discrepancies, and maintain records.
Complete first article inspection and documentation.
Assist with adherence to the quality management system and ISO 9001.
Advise all functional areas regarding quality system measurements and procedures.
Attend and report at regular improvement meetings, contributing to corrective and preventive actions to external and internal quality related concerns.
Perform Mechanical Assembly procedures along with some wiring procedures.
Use the calibration system, ensuring all equipment in use has a current calibration.
Calibrate torque guns, gauges, instruments, and hand tools.
Assist with analysis of returned material from customers in accordance with the return material authorization (RMA) process: identify extent of problems involved, rework/repair as feasible, and record results in detail.
Assist with problem solving, root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Monitor and determine disposition of components and assemblies rejected by Production with a red tag.
Other duties as assigned or as required to meet customer or business needs.
Skills:
Quality orientation and high attention to detail
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Ability to use callipers, indicators, height gauges, basic hand tools and power tools.
Demonstrated competency in the use of personal computers and MS Office Suite applications
Education:
High school diploma/G.E.D.
Applicable Vocation Schooling preferred
