They will also have a proven track record in managing capital budgets and projects, overseeing facility-related issues, and implementing standard work procedures. This role may require travel to plant and customer sites.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the manufacturing engineering department, ensuring all projects and tasks are completed on time and within budget.
- Develop and implement cost reduction strategies to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Manage tooling, manufacturing engineering, and maintenance operations to ensure optimal performance.
- Oversee capital budget and projects, ensuring they align with company goals and objectives.
- Resolve facility-related issues promptly and effectively.
- Supervise and direct the engineering department, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Track engineering-related spending, ensuring it aligns with the capital budget.
- Analyze manufacturing processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
- Implement standard work procedures across all operations to ensure consistency and quality.
- Ensure compliance with TS16949/ISO14001 standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field.
- 5 to 10 years of experience in manufacturing engineering.
- 3 to 5 years of managerial experience, preferably in the automotive manufacturing industry.
- Proficient in Excel and other relevant software.
- Strong technical and analytical engineering skills.
- Proven track record in managing tooling, manufacturing engineering, and maintenance.
- Experience in cost reduction and continuous improvement.
- Demonstrated ability to manage capital budget and projects.
- Knowledge of TS16949/ISO14001 standards.
- Ability to travel to plant and customer sites as needed.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
