As we expand our team, we are seeking a dynamic and passionate Engineer who shares our dedication to advancing technology and design. As an Engineer at Q LLC, you will play a vital role in our Research and Development team, contributing to the design, testing, and development of state-of-the-art firearm silencers. This position demands a profound passion for firearms, a willingness to work hours that support production including off hours as necessary.
Location and Work Schedule
This position is based in Dover, NH, and requires you to be in-person, five days per week.
Travel Requirements
Some travel may be required as needed for engineering testing and development.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
- 5+ years of engineering experience required.
- A background in firearms engineering is preferred but not required.
Engineering Responsibilities and Duties
- Drive improvements that help improve quality, improve schedule execution, and reduce cost using standard engineering best practices and lean/six sigma tools
- Develop scaled processes that allow effective transition from development to production
- Formulate and implement a roadmap for adopting new technology and methodologies to improve manufacturing capabilities & practices
- This position will lead a growing team of Manufacturing Engineers in support of meeting internal customers' needs on both development and production programs
- This person teams closely with all other operation functions (Supply Chain, Quality Assurance, Production Planning) to drive execution across the business
- Develop capability of the Manufacturing Engineering team; grow technical skills, as well as project management, facilitation, and leadership skills
- Apply proficiency in SolidWorks for detailed design and modeling of silencers and firearms, adhering to ASME Y14.5 standards.
- Contribute to the documentation of engineering specifications, testing procedures, and design changes.
Engineering Qualifications and Skills
- Deep passion for firearms with a comprehensive understanding of firearm functionality.
- Advanced skills in SolidWorks for detailed design and modeling.
- Familiarity with ASME Y14.5 standards.
- Experience in working with and developing manufacturing execution systems
- Ability to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
- Proficiency in Root Cause Analysis (RCA), including methods like "5 Whys" and Fishbone Diagrams.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate within a team environment.

Physical Requirements
