About the Job
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead the transition from new product development to manufacturing.
- Provide daily manufacturing support for existing products and develop, implement, and improve processes.
- Drive continuous improvement through operational efficiencies and innovative engineering solutions.
- Plan, design, and coordinate the integration of machinery and equipment into the manufacturing process.
- Develop and write equipment specifications, performance requirements, cost analysis, and proposals.
- Oversee installation to ensure machines and equipment function according to specifications.
- Determine parts supply, maintenance tasks, safety procedures, and service schedule for machines and equipment.
- Recommend improvements in methods, equipment, operating procedures, and working conditions.
- Develop models for alternate processing methods and recommend implementation of improved procedures.
- Optimize manufacturing processes for cost-effectiveness and product performance through various methods.
- Assist team leaders and members in evaluating and implementing continuous improvement projects.
Qualifications, Education, Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing/Robotics or related field, or equivalent work experience in machining or tool making.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in metalworking, stamping, or machining.
- Experience with ERP systems, SolidWorks, or AutoCAD.
- Programming experience with CNC, lathes, and milling machines is a plus.
- Automotive experience is highly desirable.
- Awareness and incorporation of designs, including PLC troubleshooting, updating, and program upload.
- Familiarity with Fanuc Industrial Robotics is advantageous.
