About the Job
Troubleshoots day-to-day assembly process issues, initiates solutions, and follows-up to evaluate effectiveness of changes.
Analyzes and recommends current and future systems, procedures, training, and equipment needs based upon understanding and communication with users.
Study time, motion, methods, and speed involved in maintenance, production, and other operations to establish standard production rate and improve efficiency.
Interpret engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas and confer with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards.
Read worker logs, product processing sheets, and specification sheets, to verify that records adhere to quality assurance specifications.
Aid in planning work assignments in accordance with worker performance, machine capacity, production schedules, and anticipated delays.
Prepare charts, graphs, and diagrams to illustrate workflow, routing, floor layouts, material handling, and machine utilization. Salary $75,250.00+ DOE. Position is in Sanford, NC. Email resume to positions@harveynash.com
Requirements
Master’s Degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering and 6+ months of experience or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years of experience
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawing, schematics and computer-generated reports.
Previous experience with computer applications and software related to engineering field, such as Computer Aided Design (CAD), Microsoft Office
Experience with CATIA mechanical designing
Experience with thermal and vibration simulations
Experience with Teamcenter, Creo, Autocad, or Geneo
3D Modelling
Ability to make sketches, engineering drawings and computations
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
