Job Title: Manufacturing EngineerLocation: Palmdale, CAZip Code: 93599Start Date: ASAPJob Type: Contract Pay Rate: $22.00 - $120.00 /hr DoE Schedule: Onsite - Full TimeKeywords: #ManufacturingEngineer #ClearanceJobs #CAjobs *** Must Have Active Secret Clearance with investigation in last 5 years***JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:* Performs in a collaborative environment to develop and implement manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, fabrication, and material handling. * Leverages understanding of materials and processes to define operations procedures and build sequences to drive operational excellence. * Evaluates performance (including IoT devices, etc.) of equipment and tools to verify their efficiency and investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure operational excellence. * Provides input to product design regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques. * Works within a model based engineering environment (3DX/iBASEt). * Position requires periodic travel.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:* Must have an Active Secret Clearance with investigation in last 5 years or Continuous Evaluation enrollment * Special Access required to start* Bachelor's degree in a related field of study (Preferred STEM Degree) with 14-16 years of experience * Aircraft Sub-systems assembly and integration* On vehicle troubleshooting of aircraft sub-systems* Jet engine integration, service and maintenance familiarity* Aircraft structures assembly* Manufacturing assembly work instruction authoring and work planning* Hands-on production floor support (Direct ownership and support of specific manufacturing operations as well as interface with touch-labor employees)* Reviews and redlines of engineering technical drawings and modelsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Wire harness and interconnect installation/ integration* Aircraft fuel systems* Development/ protype/ first article program support* Testing of aircraft sub-systems* Metallic part machining working knowledge* 3DX and Catia V5 software usage* GD&T proficiency* Critical hardware move procedures* Evaluation of designs with respect to design for manufacturing and assembly (DFMA) considerations* Composite Fabrication and Composite Assembly* Working with CNC Machine Operators* Experience with LO (Low Observable) composite assembliesBenefits: * Medical / Health Benefits with multiple plan options, Flexible Spending Accounts, Dental and Vision / glasses / prescription contact lens and eye test options available. * On the job training / cross-training to develop and expand skills, creating opportunity for advancement and personal development.
