About the Role
As a Manufacturing Engineer III, you'll be at the forefront of developing and enhancing manufacturing processes for surgical products within the medical device industry. This role demands a high level of expertise in medical device regulations, cleanroom practices, and a thorough understanding of GMPs and ISO 13485 Design Control.

About the Role
As a Manufacturing Engineer III, you'll be at the forefront of developing and enhancing manufacturing processes for surgical products within the medical device industry. This role demands a high level of expertise in medical device regulations, cleanroom practices, and a thorough understanding of GMPs and ISO 13485 Design Control.
Key Responsibilities
You'll work collaboratively with various teams including Quality Assurance, Supplier Quality, Planning, Purchasing, Regulatory, and Manufacturing. Key duties include:
- Design & Development: Design and develop manufacturing tooling, fixtures, and equipment.
- Process Implementation: Manage the validation and implementation of new or modified manufacturing processes.
- Material Support: Guide material selection and validation for polymers, metals, and adhesives.
- Technical Expertise: Provide technical oversight and resolve manufacturing-related problems.
- Documentation: Write and implement Manufacturing Procedures and Work Instructions.
- Innovative Technologies: Apply industry best practices to enhance manufacturing technologies.
- Strategic Representation: Act as a representative for the Manufacturing Engineering group on strategic projects.
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Materials, or Biomedical Engineering or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum of 6 years in the engineering industry with a strong background in medical devices.
- Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of GMPs, ISO 13485, and Manufacturing Process IQ, OQ, PO qualifications.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and manufacturing processes like machining, welding, and plastics processing.
- Detailed understanding of machine and tool design, equipment design, and cleanroom environments.
- Certifications: Six Sigma Statistical Process Analysis (certification preferred).
- Soft Skills: Strong communication, team-building, and cross-functional coordination skills.
- Systems Knowledge: Experience with Agile and Oracle data systems is preferred.
- Onsite presence in Mansfield, MA (40 hours/week)
- Willingness to travel up to 10% domestically
