This is an excellent opportunity for someone with the right skill set including: knowledge of machine shop practice and manufacturing, excellent scheduling and follow up capability, leadership skills, excellent people and communication skills along with a comfort with manufacturing computer software
This position will perform the following:
• Supervise all Production phases to assure high productivity and on time deliveries
• Plan Production Schedule to meet shipping dates and volume needs
• Review Drawings and determine the best manufacturing method
• Interface with engineering dept. to assure that drawings can be manufactured.
• Plan Inventory levels and re-order points.
• Determine best methods to manufacture parts and routing.
• Decide on Make/Buy decisions.
• Use manufacturing ERP software for scheduling, costing and loading such as, SAP, Dynamic or M1
• Work closely with company president to assure manufacturing is in accordance with company plans and requirements.
• Find and qualify vendors and oversee their quality.
• Work closely with plant floor personnel as well as third party suppliers in order to solve changing technical issues on the fly and accommodate customer needs
• Produce and manage documentation using Solidworks and Autocad
Required:
• BS Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineer.
• 3-5+ years of hands on manufacturing experience preferably in machinery production environment
• MUST know how to read shop drawings
• Able to work with Shop Foreman and Purchasing and other Production Personnel.
• Work with sales department to meet their sales need. • Perform root cause analysis to eliminate product defects and increase production yield. Lead projects to improve performance and assist in the design
• Install and implement new quality systems to improve company’s analytical capabilities.
