We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Manufacturing Engineer with a Lean/Six Sigma background to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with an innovative team and contribute to the advancement of our manufacturing processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development, implementation, and improvement of manufacturing processes to maintain efficiency, reduce cost, improve sustainability, and maximize profitability.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage continuous improvement projects based on Lean/Six Sigma methodologies to improve manufacturing efficiency.
- Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards.
- Design and implement process improvements to reduce cost and increase productivity, while maintaining high quality standards.
- Work closely with design engineering and production personnel to develop and implement new product manufacturing processes.
- Analyze manufacturing processes and workflows to identify areas that could benefit from changes and improvements.
- Apply working knowledge of product design and assembly to the manufacturing process.
- Create processes and procedures to help the company meet budgetary goals as well as performance quotas.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and cross-departmental meetings to ensure collaboration and cohesion among various departments.
- Train and guide staff on new processes and lean manufacturing techniques.
- Develop and implement systems that optimize all phases of production process.
- Provide detailed reports on the manufacturing process to upper management and executives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role.
- Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt.
- Proven experience with Continuous Improvement, Manufacturing, Manufacturing Processes, Plastic Injection Molding, Clean Room Assembly, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma.
- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Outstanding communication and leadership abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards for the engineering and manufacturing industry.
- Ability to influence and engage direct and indirect reports and peers.
- Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.
