Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer Intern, Vascular
Location: This position is based in our Campbell, California offices, on-site & full-time. Imperative Care does not provide relocation or additional housing compensation for the summer internship.

What You’ll Do
The Manufacturing Engineer Intern will assist manufacturing engineers on manufacturing processes, design fixtures and equipment to be used on the production line to help troubleshoot manufacturing issues that affect production and delivery targets.
- Perform destructive tensile testing to understand and document failure modes and mechanisms.
- Characterize and study the impact of surface treatment on various polymers for bonding process.
- Develop process and fixturing for the manufacturing of medical devices.
- Produce accurate and comprehensive technical drawings, including materials lists, dimensions, and tolerances.
- Apply technical knowledge to innovate, design and develop processes, tooling, assembly fixtures, and procedures.
- Support issue resolution for production and assembly including root cause investigation and corrective action tracking.
- Support general documentation activities such as proof reading, formatting, and revision.
- Minimum of 2 years of college-level coursework in the process of obtaining an Industrial Engineering degree or equivalent (Bioengineering, Material Engineering or Mechanical Engineering) & a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Strong analytical and statistical knowledge
- Strong understanding of engineering principals
- Knowledge of data querying and manipulation a plus
- Knowledge and hands-on experience in machine shop (lathe/milling machine) is a plus.
- Ability to work independently or in a team setting.
- Good interpersonal skills, effective communication, and partnership with and other departments
