Job Details
Responsibilities:
Evaluate and optimize existing manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and safety.
Design, develop, and implement new manufacturing processes and equipment to enhance productivity and reduce production costs.
Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and cost-benefit analyses for process improvement projects.
Collaborate with design engineers to ensure manufacturability of new products and components.
Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and process specifications.
Identify and implement automation and robotics solutions to streamline production processes.
Provide technical support to production teams, troubleshoot manufacturing issues, and implement corrective actions.
Lead cross-functional teams in root cause analysis and problem-solving activities to address quality and productivity issues.
Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in manufacturing engineering.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably in an industrial machining environment.
Strong knowledge of machining processes, including CNC machining, milling, turning, and grinding.
Proficiency in CAD/CAM software for process design and optimization (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Mastercam).
Experience with lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and continuous improvement tools (e.g., DMAIC, Kaizen, 5S).
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions.
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Project management experience and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Experience with automation and robotics technologies is a plus.
