About the Job
Our client, a distinguished leader in the manufacturing industry, is currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Manufacturing Engineer with automotive manufacturing experience to join their team. This role is designed for a proactive and detail-oriented professional who is dedicated to enhancing manufacturing efficiency and quality. As a Process Engineer, you will play a critical role in evaluating and improving production processes, leading continuous improvement projects, and ensuring the adherence to Health, Safety, and Environmental policies. This position offers the chance to make significant contributions to the automation department by addressing day-to-day production challenges and implementing new processes to achieve operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:

- Uphold and implement the company's Health, Safety, and Environmental policies, procedures, and requirements.
- Conduct evaluations of machine downtime and scrap to identify improvement opportunities.
- Perform machine time studies to optimize production efficiency.
- Lead continuous improvement projects aimed at enhancing process efficiency and product quality.
- Investigate and resolve production process issues within the automation department.
- Assist in the development and implementation of new production processes as needed.
- Provide support for day-to-day operational issues, ensuring timely and effective solutions.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support the production team.
Qualifications:
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with various departments, including automation, engineering, molding, mixing, and office personnel.
- A keen attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Proficient computer skills, with a comprehensive understanding of plant operations, compound test procedures, and equipment.
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude within a manufacturing environment, with the ability to troubleshoot and solve problems effectively.
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Two to five years of related experience and/or training in a manufacturing setting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience leading continuous improvement initiatives and projects.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently with minimal supervision.

Contract positions
