Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Evaluate existing operational procedures, methods and manufacturing methods to aid in the development of project plans to continuously improve production efficiencies and performance.
- Analyze, plan and execute production workflows and equipment placement to improve safety, performance and manufacturing efficiencies.
- Determine root cause of failures using statistical methods and recommend changes in designs, tolerances or processing methods.
- Coordinate equipment maintenance and repair services with guidance and oversight ensuring production equipment remains in sound working order.
- Obtain, record and secures all maintenance records and ensure proper Preventative Maintenance procedures are in place for all production equipment.
- Provides cross functional leadership to implement improvements to existing equipment, manufacturing methods and tooling.
- Ensure that the company's manufacturing processes are in compliant with local, state and federal regulations.
Experiences, Competencies, Skills and Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
- Proven work experience of more than 5+ years in product manufacturing.
- Advanced organizational, analytical and communications skills.
- Experience using calculus, trigonometry, algebra and other types of math.
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with advanced problem- solving skills.
- Knowledgeable in machine controls, drives and automation.
- Working understanding of PLC's desriable.
