Our long term client is a growing manufacturing company specializing in precision machining and fabrication. They are currently seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join their team. Position Overview:
As a CNC Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a crucial role in producing high-quality machined components for a variety of industries such as the aerospace, automotive and medical device industries that require tight tolerance machining. You will be responsible for setting up, operating, and programming CNC machines (Lathes), interpreting blueprints, adjusting tooling, making offsets, and using precision measurement tools to ensure the accuracy of the final products. Your expertise will contribute to the success of their operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, draw up, produce on CNC machinery, inspect, and validate manufacturing process, assembly or parts, and test fixtures made for production.
- Manage projects with buyers, other design engineers, test engineers on scheduling, and prioritizing of job orders.
- Set up, operate, and program Fanuc controlled - CNC Lathes, Mills, using Solidworks, MasterCam or other CAM software in accordance with production specifications.
- Create new and revise existing assembly procedures, work instructions, part protection procedures, standards, etc.
- Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings to ensure the accurate machining of components.
- Upload programs and make necessary adjustments to machine parameters.
- Select and install appropriate tooling and make tooling offsets as needed.
- Monitor and maintain quality control throughout the machining process.
Qualifications:
- BS in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or the technical equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years of CNC manufacturing experience.
- Minimum 3yrs of CNC Programming experience. Proficiency in setting up and operating CNC machines. Solid Works Preferred.
- Strong blueprint reading skills.
- Ability to read and understand CNC programs (G & M codes - Fanuc control).
- Knowledge of tool selection, tooling setup, and making tool offsets.
- Proficiency in using metrology tools (CMM experience is a plus)
- Understanding of Six Sigma and Lean manufacturing tools
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot machine issues.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Willingness to work with a safety-first mindset.
Hours/Shifts:
- 1st Shift
- Mon-Fri. 7:00am to 3:30pm
- Overtime available
