Manufacturing Engineer Massachusetts
Our client is a leader in developing and manufacturing adhesives and
they need a Manufacturing Engineer.
The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing,
and reviewing the procedures and equipment involved in the manufacturing
process.
The Manufacturing Engineer’s duties include researching automation
techniques, testing new systems for efficiency and planning factory
layouts to optimize production
Responsibilities:
- Design, detail and build equipment as requested by Management.
- Design, suggest, or perform modifications and upgrades on equipment.
- Identify equipment needs, research and select vendors, request
capital, and complete documents required for purchase.
- Analyze production processes, schedules, methods, and other data to
produce KPI’s to better understand future requirements needed for
the manufacturing process.
- Ensure the company’s manufacturing guidelines follow Federal and
State laws and regulations.
- Track production runs, refine processes as necessary.
- Document manufacturing procedures to be utilized in training
programs.
- Identify knowledge deficiencies and provide training as needed.
- Develop and implement continuous improvement and cost reduction
proposals.
- Promote and follow all safety guidelines and procedures, recommend
improvements as needed.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- BS degree in Manufacturing, Systems, Industrial, or Mechanical
Engineering.
- 3 + years’ manufacturing experience in batch processing
- Mechanical aptitude and desire to work in a “hands-on” environment.
- Troubleshooting skills and the ability to recognize feasibility of
designs.
- Design of experiments (DOE) knowledge helpful.
- Ability to interpret blueprints; operate precision measuring
instruments.
- Interpersonal communication skills (including technical writing);
ability to listen, provide feedback and motivate others.
