Manufacturing Engineer -- Automotive Parts Manufacturer at Activ8

An automotive parts manufacturing company is currently searching for a Manufacturing Engineer to join their facility in the Lexington, KY area. This is a full-time and direct hire position with benefits: 401(k), vision, dental, health, life, PTO, etc.

Responsibilities Include:

• Support the improvement of manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency and reduce downtime
• Assist in researching and evaluating new equipment / technologies for manufacturing applications
• Machinery installation, set-up, troubleshooting, and maintenance as needed
• Help train production associates on processes, machinery, and safety protocols.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards on the production floor.
• Prepare and maintain process reports and documentation for review by management
• Perform other duties as assigned to support manufacturing operations

Requirements Include:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Design Engineering, or a related field preferred, OR an Associate’s degree with equivalent work experience
• At least 0-2 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment, including internships or co-op positions
• Basic familiarity with industrial systems, machinery, and controls, such as PLC, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment
• This position includes manufacturing and warehousing work environment. While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, lift in excess of 50 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
