Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Manufacturing Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for optimizing production processes and supporting continuous improvement initiatives within a high-tech manufacturing environment. As a key member of the Manufacturing Engineering team, you will provide production standards and inputs necessary to support planning, capacity acquisition, and overall operational performance.
You will contribute to the improvement of production efficiency by observing, collecting, and analyzing data related to manufacturing processes, equipment, and resources. This role offers an exciting opportunity to apply your engineering expertise to a range of manufacturing challenges and work towards achieving enhanced productivity, safety, and quality standards.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain accurate production standard times for manufactured components and assemblies.
- Create and utilize models and tools to calculate key production metrics such as takt time, changeover recommendations, batch sizes, and other performance metrics to support efficient delivery schedules.
- Assess, design, and improve workstation layouts to optimize ergonomics, material flow, and productivity.
- Provide productivity assessments and insights to support the evaluation and acquisition of new manufacturing capabilities and equipment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure operational goals are met and continuous improvements are implemented effectively.
Required Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or Operations with at least 3 years of relevant experience, OR
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or Operations with at least 1 year of relevant experience, OR
- Master’s degree in Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or Operations, OR
- 5+ years of relevant experience in Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or Operations in lieu of a degree.
- U.S. citizenship or permanent residency is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong background in Industrial Engineering, with experience in work measurement methods and/or predetermined time standards systems such as MTM (Methods-Time Measurement) and MOST (Maynard Operation Sequence Technique).
- Familiarity with ERP systems, routings, and load/capacity planning tools.
- Proven ability to assess and improve manufacturing processes, equipment, and resources.
