Job Details
As a Cost Accountant, you will play a crucial role in analyzing and managing costs, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and driving cost-saving initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed cost analysis for manufacturing or construction projects, including materials, labor, and overhead costs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and provide insights on cost reduction opportunities.
- Prepare and analyze cost reports, budgets, and financial statements.
- Monitor inventory levels and reconcile any discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate cost records and ensure complieance with accounting standards.
- Participate in the development and implementation of cost control procedures.
- Assist in the preparation of financial forecasts and annual budgeting processes.
- Identify and implement process improvement to enhance efficiancy and productiivity.
- Develops and improves reporting systems (Salesforce, Business Intelligence, ERP, HR Database).
- Automates month end close and reporting.
- Performs month-end and year-end closings with assistance
- Reduces slow moving and obsolete inventory; keeps inventory lean and drives accuracy
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 3+ years' experience in Accounting, costing, in manufacturing or civil construction
- Knowledge of cost accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in fianancial analysis and reporting.
- Experience in ERP systems, Salesforce, payroll, workflow, Power BI, preferably
- Work onsite
