About the Role:
As a Controls Engineer / PLC Programmer, you will:
- Create field layouts, panel layouts, and electrical schematics using AutoCAD Electrical.
- Write and modify PLC programs in ladder logic (Allen-Bradley, Keyence, Phoenix, Siemens).
- Develop HMI interfaces and follow internal coding standards.
- Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and minor wiring changes.
- Travel to customer sites for I/O checkout and field startup (50-70% travel required).
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and maintain control systems.
- Participate in design reviews and create field layout drawings.
- Maintain records of programs, schematics, and modifications.
- Assist sales and engineering teams in developing system design elements.
- Develop user manuals and provide onsite training to customers.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD / AutoCAD Electrical.
- Experience programming PLCs using Ladder Logic or other scripting languages (Python, JavaScript, VBA, etc.).
- Strong understanding of electro-mechanical systems and network topology.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
Schedule:
- Full-Time, Monday to Friday with Overtime and Weekends as needed.
- Work location across multiple sites.
