The Manufacturing Accountant is responsible for preparation and analysis of financial reports and data. Assist the Controller to ensure divisional accounting standard and goals are met. Will assist divisional personnel, as appropriate, with finance related activities.
We are currently seeking a Manufacturing Accountant in our Union City or Riverside, CA site with the following qualifications:
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the accurate and timely reporting and tracking of all financial data to ensure a 4 Day month end close.
- Maintains the integrity of the financial data and ensures proper usage of IQMS.
- Create and develop deliverables for division and regional management that provide insight and aid in business decisions.
- Invoice prior day sales accurately and by cutoff time expectations.
- Posts all cash activity daily into IQMS, Updates WTI Daily Cash Tracker and send to Corporate Controller, completes cash reconciliations monthly for Controller review.
- Work with internal departments on any issues related to PO tied invoices.
- Daily posting of Disposition, Manual, and Receiving PIT’s in IQMS with investigation and analysis of issues resulting from posting
- Maintain reconciliation of Inventory weekly after PIT posting has been completed for review.
- Responsible for assisting with the preparation and maintenance of monthly General Ledger and its entries.
- Maintains Entries and Reconciliation for Monthly Tooling Close Outs
- Creates and Maintains Entries for the month-end process in-order to close and reconcile; Cash, Prepaid, AP, AR, and Accruals for Molding Business Unit Controller review.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in business with focus in Accounting/Finance or Accounting associate degree with 1 – 2 years of work experience in manufacturing
- Experience in a manufacturing environment that utilizes a standard costing system a plus.
- Additional background in Public Accounting with Audit experience a plus
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, co-workers, clients and customers.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions in various forms and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Comfortable learning new software/computer skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Prior Experience with IQMS (ERP) a plus

Position: Full-Time
Location: Riverside, CA or Union City, CA
Pay: $70,000- $85,000 annually DOE
