Hourly Rate: $23.43 - $25.75/HR - $1.50 shift premium - Permanent Position with Benefits.
Avon Manufacturing Company is seeking a Manual Machinist. The Manual Machinist will operate manual machines; lathes, mills, surface grinders, band saws and drill presses.

Candidates are required to pass a Criminal Background Check and a 10 Panel Drug Screen.

Avon Manufacturing Company is seeking a Manual Machinist. The Manual Machinist will operate manual machines; lathes, mills, surface grinders, band saws and drill presses.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 4-year Class A apprenticeship
- 1-2 years' work experience beyond the apprenticeship
- Knowledge of blueprint reading
- Knowledge of tool room equipment
- Knowledge in the use of precision instruments
- Demonstrated math skills
- Knowledge of metal properties and abrasives
- Knowledge of the manufacturing process at overview level
- Knowledge of mechanical processes
- Shift hours - 3:30pm - 12:00am - OT as needed
DUTIES:
- Operating electronic or other machinery
- Regulating speed of machinery (other than transport)
- Adjusting machines
- Setting up equipment or machinery for operation
- Cleaning or oiling machinery
- Adjusting focus of visual device
- Operating machine controls (other than transport)
- Stopping machinery at precise point indicated
- Examine machinery/equipment to check working order
- Regular checking of machinery for maintenance
