Position: Application TesterLocation: 2 Natural Resources Dr, Little Rock, AR 72205 (Hybrid)Duration: 06 Months (Extendable)Webcam or In Person InterviewHybrid: First two weeks in the office and then as required.This role involves collaborating with stakeholders to define testingrequirements, contributing to the development and modification of applications,and analyzing system performance to identify and resolve issues. The specialistwill also document processes, communicate technical information to non-technicalstakeholders, and ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.TYPICAL FUNCTIONS:• Designs, develops, and executes comprehensive testing plans for softwareapplications, ensuring the functionality, performance, and security of allcomponents.• Collaborates with stakeholders to identify testing requirements, develop testcases, and establish testing protocols that align with business needs andindustry standards.• Contributes to the development of new applications and the modification ofexisting ones, ensuring they meet quality assurance standards and userspecifications.• Analyzes complex system requirements, user needs, and data flows, developingsolutions that integrate seamlessly with existing systems while maintainingsystem integrity.• Provides technical expertise in both application testing and development,helping to ensure that all software components function as intended.• Develops, evaluates, and maintains detailed documentation throughout thesoftware development and testing lifecycle, ensuring all processes arewell-documented and accessible.• Manages tasks related to multiple projects concurrently, prioritizingactivities to ensure development and testing efforts are completed on time andwithin scope.• Reviews and analyzes system performance data to identify potential issues, andimplements corrective actions to resolve defects and optimize performance.• Communicates technical information to non-technical stakeholders, providingclear documentation and support as needed.• Ensures that all application testing and development activities comply withorganizational policies, industry regulations, and best practices.• Performs other duties as assigned.KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES, AND SKILLS:• Extensive knowledge of application testing methodologies, software developmentpractices, and quality assurance processes.• Proficiency in systems analysis, with the ability to design, develop, andintegrate complex software applications.• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues, analyzeroot causes, and implement effective solutions.• Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks,set priorities, andmeet deadlines.• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts tonon-technical stakeholders and create clear, concise documentation.• Knowledge of emerging technologies and industry trends in applicationdevelopment and testing.• A passion and understanding of hunting and fishing in Arkansas!MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:The formal education equivalent of a bachelor’s degree in computer science,information technology, software engineering, or a related field; plus threeyears of experience in application testing, software development, or a relatedfield.OTHER JOB RELATED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE MAY BE SUBSTITUTED FOR ALL OR PARTOF THESE BASIC REQUIREMENTS, EXCEPT FOR CERTIFICATION OR LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS,UPON APPROVAL OF THE HUMAN RESOURCES CHIEF.
