Senior Account Executive
We are looking for a senior leader who is responsible for the day-to-day, account management of Aon's relationships with assigned clients as their primary role. You will lead client service teams to identify and meet client needs and thereby retain and grow a profitable book of business. Through service, pricing, consultation, and reporting, you will promote the value Aon delivers to clients.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Retains and grows Aon's business, cultivating relationships with senior-most client decision-makers in the client organization as well as with day-to-day client contacts.
- Ensures overall account profitability with a value-based approach for the service. Resolves Aon compensation for services, whether fee or commission-based, accordingly. Ensures that the full value of involved Aon specialists and practice groups is promoted.
- Leads Account Executives by coaching and example in developing and executing proactive, creative, and ongoing contact initiatives intended to identify and satisfy client needs.
- Actively looks for new business opportunities.
- Drives the renewal process, assembling the appropriate team to develop and implement the client-specific renewal strategy.
- Coordinates with Brokers in the development and delivery of renewal strategies.
- Understands and works in alignment with the Aon Leadership Model and its pillars of Client Value, Unmatched Teams, Innovation, Results and Values. Establishes clear roles, responsibilities and performance expectations for client service teams that deliver Aon products and services to each client. Ensures that team members meet their responsibilities and seeks changes in team composition as appropriate.
- Facilitates critical relationships between clients, Aon and insurers.
- Ensures client service team understanding of client needs, service delivery methods, and the economic framework relevant to services delivered.
- Leads stewardship planning and delivery.
- Ensures overall account profitability with a value-based approach for the scope of service and costs.
- Arranges Aon compensation for services, whether fee or commission-based, accordingly, utilizing Aon Pricing Council analysts and resources.
- Educates clients in risk management, risk transfer, market issues and relevant trends including appropriate benchmarking and data and analytics.
- Marshals appropriate Aon resources to support clients in unusual circumstances such as large claims, etc.
- Involves others across geographic (including international), functional and business unit boundaries to define interdependent responses to opportunities to grow the business.
- Manages input to and follow-up on invoicing and receivables process for assigned clients, ensuring timely collections.
- Earns at least 2 of the following Badges: Articulating Value Badge, RFP Rehearsal Coach Badge and Redsheet Facilitator Badge.
- May act as a team leader/people manager for other Account Executives.
- Performs related duties as assigned.
Skills and experience that will lead to success
- Must have a minimum of 15 years of appropriate risk insurance experience coupled with project and account management experience on mid to large accounts.
- Strong sales skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Must have an active Property & Casualty license.
Education: Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent years of industry experience.

Pay Transparency Laws:
The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $220,000 to $300,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.
The salary range reflected is based on a primary work location in Southfield, MI. The actual salary may vary for applicants in a different geographic location.
This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
