Our Marketing team at our company is revenue and pipeline-focused, encompassing various facets such as demand generation, product marketing, corporate communications, PR/AR, brand, customer marketing, content marketing, and events. At our core, we're dedicated to supporting our growth by contributing to pipeline and revenue, developing a widely recognized brand, and fostering user engagement within our product and brand.
About the Role:
Joining us as the Managing Director of Research & Media Engagement, you will be pivotal in amplifying and maximizing the wealth of data and insights from the our platform, our research partners, and our in-house experts. Your role will entail crafting a strategic program of thought leadership, proprietary research, and media relations. We are seeking a strategic and creative thinker with a knack for connecting with the press, building compelling research, and disseminating content to engage prospects, customers, and the wider media landscape.
Responsibilities:
Scale and manage our Media Access Program by nurturing relationships with key members of the press, industry analysts, and influencers. Proactively pitch platform insights, research, and analysis on industry trends and market dynamics.
Handle time-sensitive research requests by acting as the primary data contact for journalists and industry influencers. Coordinate and conduct demos, interviews, events, and press interactions in collaboration with our PR team.
Develop a thought leadership program leveraging the rich data and insights in our platform and research from internal experts. Distribute via various channels including whitepapers, newsletters, reports, articles, blog posts, and social media.
Serve as the our platform and data expert for all use cases, providing guidance, insight, and creative storytelling to internal stakeholders across the organization.
Collaborate with internal teams including sector leaders, marketing, and product to package existing content, trends, insights, and company updates for distribution to external partners.
Become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in our products, seamlessly integrating deep product knowledge into thought leadership content to showcase the organization's unique capabilities.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in editorial or journalist roles, with a track record of building a thought leadership program from scratch.
Passion for technology, generative AI, and search: you must become an expert in everything of our company, including our platform, content sets, business model, and customer verticals.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred understanding of financial services.
Strong grasp of media relations with a sense of urgency when working with the press.
Creative storytelling skills, with the ability to provide solutions to complex questions from the media.
Analytical mindset with the ability to translate stories, themes, or trends into clear and compelling narratives.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and leadership, adept at building relationships.

Base Compensation Range: $200,000 - $220,000
Additional Components: You may also be offered a performance-based bonus, equity, and a generous benefits program.
For base compensation, we set standard ranges for all US-based roles based on function, level, and geographic location, benchmarked against similar stage growth companies and internal comparables. In order to be compliant with local legislation and provide greater transparency to candidates, we share salary ranges on all job postings regardless of desired hiring location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including geographic location as well as candidate experience/expertise and may vary from the amounts listed above.
