The Managing Director, Federal Business Development and Client Leader will be based in Washington D.C. This role will work with a diverse team, including backgrounds from the public sector, reinsurance, federal agencies, legal and compliance, and procurement.

Job Responsibilities:
- Identifies and develops opportunities for new, creative risk solutions for public sector clients (local, state, federal/national, and global agencies) across diverse geographies.
- Assist in the development and placement of Aon’s (re)insurance solutions for Federal, State, Local and Multinational entities.
- Represent Aon at various conferences and other public speaking engagements, and provide expert level insights and information relevant to governments.
- Build, maintain and leverage high impact relationships with key elected officials, public sector officials, public policy stakeholder groups, including advocacy groups, trade associations, business community.
- Assist other Public Sector business leads in developing opportunities for other Aon solutions with Federal entities.
- Convenes diverse team members across Aon to problem solve around strategic direction for business development efforts, enable the success of new risk solutions, and coordinate engagement with high-priority clients.
Skills and experience that will lead to success:
- 10 years of experience working for the Federal government.
- 10 years of experience with the (re)insurance industry.

Salary: The salary range for this position is $225,000-$275,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on the applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary.
