Are you ready to make an impact?Managing Director, Cybersecurity West Monroe has an opportunity for a Managing Director-level leader to join our nationwide Cybersecurity team with our Technology & Experience practice. This role will focus on leading the creation and delivery of cybersecurity consulting services as well as providing our clients thought leadership on applying new security technologies to make their business more secure and resilient. Our work includes developing cybersecurity strategy/ advisory, secure design, compliance management, secure product development, and hands-on technical risk remediation through system hardening and technology implementation. This technology leader will be responsible for key client account ownership, selling new work, and acting as the Engagement Lead for cybersecurity related projects.
This leader must be based in Chicago, New York, Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, or Dallas. Managing Director-level team members within West Monroe have four main areas of responsibility: Business Development Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for cybersecurity, risk, and compliance consulting servicesAssist in defining West Monroe's go-to-market strategy across internal Technology & Experience stakeholders and industry verticals (Private Equity, Energy & Utilities, Financial Services, Consumer & Industrial Products, High Tech & Software, etc.)Identify and capitalize on market opportunities to expand our cybersecurity services and client baseHunt for new strategic clients using relationships and proven business development skillsInitiate and lead business development meetings with prospective clientsDevelop and maintain strategic client relationships to drive business growth and expand market presenceFamiliarity with driving business development via alliances, partnerships, and other collaborations within the cybersecurity ecosystemDevelop relationships and lead internal efforts to sell cybersecurity services to internal stakeholders (industry verticals, account managers, business developers, etc.)Demonstrate a proven ability to effectively sell cybersecurity services and solutionsThought Leadership and Industry VisibilityHave a strong presence in the cybersecurity community, with a history of speaking engagements and thought leadership contributionsEstablish a strong presence as a thought leader both within West Monroe and in the broader marketplaceAttend networking events and actively build and leverage a professional network and affiliate network in the local communityMaintain a strong professional network of contacts in the local marketArticulate the value of cybersecurity initiatives in terms of business outcomes and risk mitigationClient Delivery Demonstrated success in leading large, complex cybersecurity projects and initiativesExpertise in cybersecurity coupled with the ability to communicate issues to C-Level executives and boards on cybersecurity approaches and market dynamicsStrategic leadership on teams serving clients across industries while demonstrating executive presence with senior-level client counterpartsInterface with all levels of business and technology leadership both internally and at clientsClose alignment with the day-to-day cybersecurity project leadersFacilitate client workshops focused on project initiation and executive steering meetingsEnsure proper management of project economics including pricing, budgets, and adjustmentsMentor teams of technical and business consultants and QA the plans and work done by the team Practice Development Proven leader with extensive ability to build solid and collaborative relationships with team members, foster a productive team environment, and coach staff with timely meaningful written and verbal feedback Drive the development/enhancement of West Monroe’s methodologies and approaches to cybersecurity project deliveryCoach and manage other consultants and actively participate in the performance management processActively participate in recruiting and retaining top quality consultants QualificationsTechnical Expertise in CybersecurityLeverage a strong technical background in cybersecurity and risk management, with a deep understanding of security technologies, threats, and best practicesHave expertise in delivering and growing capabilities in data security & privacy, responsible AI, and governance, risk, & complianceStay abreast of emerging technologies, with the ability to identify and capitalize on market opportunities to expand our cybersecurity services and client baseAnticipate and prepare for future challenges in the rapidly evolving cybersecurity landscapePresent complex technical information in a clear, concise manner that resonates with decision-makersA bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, information technology, or a related field is preferredMinimum of 15 years of leadership experience in client-facing business and technology consulting services with projects and teams of cybersecurity engineers, consultants, and architectsPrior experience in a CISO or Security Leadership position and Consulting backgroundCommitment to continued professional information security advancement (e.g., CISSP, SANS GIAC series, or other certifications)Ability to travel a minimum of 50%+ is required Based on pay transparency guidelines, a reasonable expectation for the salary range for this role is listed below.

Employees in proximity of our Seattle, Washington DC, Los Angeles, New York, and San Francisco offices will have a geographic premium applied to this salary scale. Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan, purchase shares from our employee stock ownership program and be eligible to receive annual bonuses.
Employees will also receive unlimited flexible time off and ten paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
