About the Position
Our Managers will drive results for our clients by providing program planning and project management support. Specific responsibilities include the following:
Manage completion of contract requirements and ad-hoc client requests
Identify the costs, milestones, assumptions, dependencies, and risks of programs
Guide project work through creative and diligent project planning (with work breakdown structure), crafting project approaches, assigning tasks and roles and responsibilities, monitoring progress and success, mitigating risks, and discussing needs and options with clients
Manage resources and spend plans
Conduct quality review of deliverables
Building relationships with prime and sub-partnerships through strong interpersonal and teamwork
Supporting stakeholder engagements at the senior level, including briefing development and collaboration across functional teams within technical and non-technical capabilities
Work with clients to develop action plans that translate vision, mission, and goals into initiatives that can be executed as projects or programs
Organize integrated project teams and communicate with key stakeholders, documenting all discussions and decision points
Facilitate internal team meetings to discuss progress against project outcomes, risks, next steps
Facilitate external meetings with clients to share project approach, discuss status, present deliverables, obtain feedback, and discuss next steps
Provide thought leadership and provide clear and concise recommendations for complex portfolio issues and objectives
Prioritize client demands in a high-velocity environment effectively
Identify and support net-new opportunities for increased growth and provide support to win the work
Participate in other company activities such as:
Support development of Rockwood's social media and marketing materials to improve the Rockwood brand
Develop and deliver Rockwood's internal training classes to grow the Rockwood capabilities
Contribute to Rockwood methodologies, applying subject matter expertise and lessons learned as a result of delivery
Support recruitment activities to attract, evaluate, and bring onboard the best talent
What You Must Have to Be a Manager
Active DoD (may consider DoS and DoJ) security clearance at the Top Secret (will consider Secret) level
10+ years of relevant work experience
Bachelor's degree
Prefer candidate who has IT experience within cyber, software modernization and optimization
Program management experience
Experience navigating federal government or DoD organizations
Must be able to travel to client site for task delivery, business development, and general check-in's specific to the DMV area
Proficiency in word processing, Excel, presentation creation tools, and internet research tools

What We Prefer in Managers
Knowledge and application of the product development lifecycle process from initiation to deployment
Maintenance of project management templates and processes
Development and maintenance of project management-related documents (e.g., risk register, project management plan, project charter, project master schedule)
Present information in a clear and concise manner (e.g., project status, lessons learned)
Application of project management and program management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, PMI)
Experience with Microsoft Project and ServiceNow
Experience writing, preparing, and delivering feedback for program and project management functions (e.g., act/track/plan), processes, practices, and templates
- Support of Program Management Office or Program Executive Offices
