Job Description
About the role:
The Manager, US Medical Operations will be an operational partner to the entire US Medical Operations team, leveraging industry best practices in project management and business analytics, adapted to local need, to operationalize US Medical strategies, ensuring consistency, communication excellence, risk management, and strategic alignment to maximize value and enable agile decision-making. You will integrate new technologies, such as AI/ML and automation, to facilitate operational strategy and planning decisions including project tracking and any prioritization decisions. You will interface collaboratively with Business Operations, Finance, TA-focused Program Managers, and Functional Leads within US Medical.
You will report to the Head of US Medical Operations.
How you will contribute:- ·Operationalize tactics within budget, scope, and timeline, aligned to US Medical strategy, in partnership with US Medical Functional Leads and Program Managers, and using established US Medical Operations standards.
- Track the status of projects and initiatives, including timelines, creating dashboards/tools that use data, digital, and technology to drive operational excellence.
- Support operational planning process, in partnership with USM Functional leadership and Program Managers, enabling agility through strategic alignment, prioritization, and reporting.
- ·Support the functional and medical teams to ensure that each proposed tactic follows appropriate standards, processes, contracting, and regulations during planning and implementation.
- Provide operational efficiencies by establishing process improvements, providing guidance and support, and developing communication plans and tools to engage key stakeholders and increase communication across the organization.
- Actively participate in regular meetings with USM functional leadership and program management including managing project updates, tracking budget actuals, metrics and other departmental reporting for US Medical
- May lead cross-functional project teams that operationalize strategic initiatives
- Track and analyze projects and budgets to ensure strategic focus and timely execution of deliverables; track spend accordingly.
- Support USM Operations to oversee and Manage vendors, including service level agreements (SLAs), communication of expectations and timelines to ensure high-quality deliverables are received on time and within budget; Ensure Takeda best practices are followed and implemented consistently with agreed upon project expectations and timelines; monitor vendors and assess performance against current strategies and plan(s), and address identified issues
Travel Requirements:
May travel ~10% of time, primarily within US with occasional international travel
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:- Bachelor’s Degree required, science or business-related field
- Area of specialization: Medical Affairs, Clinical Research, Project Management, Program Management, Business Analytics
- 3-5 years experience in healthcare industry business analytics or project management with proven experience in medical affairs, research and development, or related experience in the pharmaceutical industry
- Strong process management and problem-solving skills, ability to analyze and propose solutions
- Strong communication skills and professional presence to effectively partner and influence with core medical teams and other key stakeholders to drive execution of medical strategy and tactics
- Ability to learn new digital tools and platforms and leverage best practices to design solutions that enhance our operational excellence
- Ability to identify and anticipate risks that impact timeline, budget, scope, or quality and propose potential solution
- Experience developing and monitoring budgets, including proactive communication of status and variances

Lexington, MAU.S. Base Salary Range:
96,600.00 - 151,800.00The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/or long-termincentives. U.S.based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others.
