Job Title: Restaurant Manager
Location: Torrance, CA 90248
Salary Range: $68,000 - $78,000 annually, plus bonus based on 42 Hour a week New Store Opening
Position Overview:
We are looking for a dynamic Restaurant Manager to oversee the operations of a busy restaurant specializing in udon, a popular thick noodle dish from Japan. Located in the heart of Torrance, CA, our restaurant is dedicated to delivering authentic and high-quality dining experiences. The ideal candidate will be passionate about Japanese cuisine, particularly udon, and possess a strong background in restaurant management.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, ensuring exceptional customer service and high-quality food preparation.
Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and manage a team of kitchen and front-of-house staff, fostering a positive work environment and encouraging career growth and development.
Financial Oversight: Manage the financial health of the restaurant, including budgeting, P&L analysis, and implementing strategies to increase profitability.
Customer Satisfaction: Address customer feedback and concerns, ensuring a memorable and enjoyable dining experience for all guests.
Quality Control: Uphold high standards of food safety and cleanliness, adhering to all regulatory health and safety guidelines.
Menu Development: Collaborate with culinary staff to refine and innovate the menu, focusing on authentic and high-quality udon dishes.
Marketing and Promotion: Work with marketing teams to promote the restaurant, attract new customers, and build a loyal customer base.
Inventory Management: Oversee inventory, including ordering supplies, managing vendor relationships, and reducing waste.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in restaurant management, with a preference for experience in Japanese cuisine or noodle houses.
Strong leadership skills with experience in staff training and development.
Proficient in financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and P&L analysis.
Passion for Japanese cuisine, particularly udon, and a commitment to culinary excellence.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
