Manager, Supplier Data - Shared Services - WM

I. Job Summary
This role is based out of WM’s Corporate Office in Houston, TX as part of the Finance team and reports directly to the Director of Accounts Payable. The Manager, Supplier Data - Shared Services, will be a key member of the Finance Shared Services organization. The individual will work cross functionally with other departments within the Finance organization, Operations, Supply Chain and Treasury. The individual will take an active role in contributing to department's strategic initiatives focusing on continuous improvement, cost savings, and finance transformation.
The Manager, Supplier Data role will be responsible for the onboarding and maintenance of supplier records. The role will require working with WM employees as well as supplier contacts to provide a smooth onboarding experience, while gathering the required information and documentation. Strong customer service skills are needed to be the liaison between the supplier and WM’s Coupa Supplier Portal (CSP). The Manager, Supplier Data will assist suppliers daily with managing their data, including troubleshooting any issues. This requires technical and communication skills to effectively manage supplier relationships.
II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Manages employees engaged in maintenance of supplier records, 1099 reporting, and supporting suppliers in need of assistance with Coupa.
• Organizes work processes, methods and procedures; establishes and monitors controls to evaluate unit performance.
• Oversees personnel needs of the department including selecting, coaching, disciplining, and training employees and evaluating employee performance. Provides input into termination, compensation, and promotion decisions.
• Establishes work standards and schedules and ensures their effective implementation; assigns work to employees, reviews employees' work for adequacy and takes steps to correct inadequate performance; approves employees' work schedules and time sheets.
• Plans and uses financial resources economically; develops appropriate informational resources and safeguards their use.
• Ensures compliance with all applicable policies, rules, regulations and laws; stays abreast of legal, regulatory and policy developments affecting areas of responsibility.
• Execute supplier outreach campaigns to drive Coupa supplier portal adoption.
• Support vendor base initiatives and gather related supplier information.
• Ensure one source of truth, with appropriate parent and child relationships as needed.
• Provide ongoing support to suppliers in use of the Coupa supplier portal.
• Analysis and support for consolidation of multiple supplier masters, such as an acquisition.
• Deliver process transformation, change management and technology initiatives to enable visibility and controls.
• Collaborate effectively across different organizational levels, functions, businesses, and geographies to realize Source to Pay goals and objectives.
• Perform the Project Manager role on various department projects/initiatives
• Undertake ad hoc projects as required.
• Continuously improve and optimize systems, processes, and procedures.
• Manage 3rd party service providers.
• Remain current with market trends through relationships with suppliers & industry experts; identify and implement opportunities.
• Works with the Coupa Administrator to vet, test, deploy, and disable Coupa features. Make recommendations to improve Supplier forms and work with various teams to test solutions/integrations and document testing.
• Works with senior management, various board and steering committees, functional leaders and individual team leaders by contributing strategic vision and integrating a broad range of ideas regarding business solutions development.
• Coordinates and integrates multiple enterprise solutions projects with a large scope and complexity in an environment for business change.
• Works with internal and external customers, suppliers and other partners to resolve problems, respond to suggestions for improvement and enhancements, test, refine and institutionalize solutions.
• Prepares ad hoc reporting and analyses, as requested by Senior Management.
III. Qualifications
A. Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree (accredited) in Accounting, Business Administration, or similar area of study, or in lieu of degree, Required and
• High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and four (4) years of relevant work experience
• 7 years 10 years of previous job-related experience (in addition to education requirement.)
• Minimum 3 years of experience in supplier data management.
B. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements
• None required.
C. Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required
• Must be authorized to work in the US.
• Must live in the Houston area, and open to commuting to corporate office in downtown Houston.
• Must be open to working a hybrid work schedule.

The highest level of supervisory skills required in this job is the management of non-supervisory employees. This includes:
Direct supervision of 3 full-time employees.
