Summary of Position
Reporting to the Vice President of Sales, the Sales Support Manager will provide comprehensive support to the sales team. The Sales Support Manager will work cross functionally to evaluate, improve, manage, and protect the effectiveness and integrity of Clyde’s sales processes ensuring superior customer service and responsiveness.
Essential Job Functions
- Serve as single point sales department liaison with Clyde’s internal departments and first responder liaison with customers and brokers for sales inquiries, opportunities, and issues.
- Develop internal processes to ensure reliable, effective response to new business requests and issues.
- Provide tactical sales team support including project management and record keeping for sales meetings, pipeline reviews, S&OP; samples requests; pricing requests; customer accruals and programs; customer visits; customer item setup (1 World Syn, Repositrak); product modifications and rollouts, and customer complaints.
- Partner with sales, finance and marketing leaders to create and maintain sales metrics and sales forecast model. Use Power BI to track and analyze sales data providing actionable business and operational insights to sales, marketing and senior leadership team.
- Develop policies, procedures, training, and other resources materials for sales team.
- Manage sales contracting process coordinating reviews and approvals. Manage contract library.
- Manage logistics for and track customer events and trade shows.
- Partner with Marketing to provide collateral and content for sales team presentations.
- Maintain and update product specification information for customer requests.
- Manage seasonal program to ensure accurate and timely forecasts and/or projections.
- Manage customer order process, customer portals and pipeline coordinating deliveries, pick-ups and resolving order discrepancies and other issues.
- Other duties as required
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, finance, or related discipline.
- 5+ years of customer service, sales, marketing, or sales support experience in CPG industry.
- High intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Power BI)
- Demonstrated project management experience.
- Thorough understanding of customer selling process, production control, and accounting.
- Exceptional interpersonal and collaboration skills with warm, outgoing personality.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work well with others in a high growth, fast paced, dynamic environment.
- Able to travel for customer events and tradeshows.
