Overview:The Sales Engineering Manager will serve as a player-coach, managing a global team of Sales Engineers while also acting as a high-impact resource, delivering consulting, best-practice guidance, and strategic insights to our largest prospects and customers. Additionally, this role will develop tools and methods that our mid-size and smaller clients can leverage to drive revenue growth and achieve industry leadership.
As the leader of the Sales Engineering team, you will be responsible for upskilling all team members, creating shadowing opportunities for junior staff to learn from senior team members, and providing continuous performance and skills development feedback. You will also drive the evolution of how Sales Engineers support the GTM team throughout the sales process.
This role requires deep product and process knowledge and extensive cross-functional collaboration to ensure internal solutions for optimal support and presentation technology. You will lead efficient client transitions from sales to implementation to accelerate time to revenue. Partnering closely with the product team, you’ll align product development and GTM strategies with client needs and industry trends, maintaining a continuous feedback loop to inform ongoing product improvements.
Leveraging your extensive industry experience, you’ll ensure the team understands customer requirements, identifies program gaps and optimization areas, and delivers a comprehensive suite of services and end-to-end solutions that provide differentiated client value.

In this role, your team will play a critical role in the sales cycle, providing thought leadership and owning solutions that enhance the customer experience. You’ll collaborate closely with colleagues, support the sales team, and translate business objectives into compelling recommendations. Leveraging your technical and sales expertise, you will lead a team that presents our product offerings effectively, addresses objections, and inspires confidence in our technology infrastructure to drive client value.
The ideal candidate has extensive experience, a proven track record of success, and a passion for diving into the details to quantify metrics and convey value to clients. This person should be self-motivated, proactive, and skilled at partnering with customers and sales leaders to achieve outstanding outcomes.
Responsibilities:- Coordinate and support the Sales Team in all pre-sales and account activities, ensuring cross-functional collaboration with PSO, Product, Technology, and Sales Enablement.
- Streamline transitions from sales handoffs to Solution Architecture (SA) and PSO, while upskilling team members for skill development.
- Drive new revenue growth by supporting New Business and Account Management teams and providing discovery support for new business and client upsells.
- Develop win strategies for RFPs, create compelling sales presentations, conduct product demonstrations, and design solutions with full documentation.
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and provide best practices and proof-of-concept demos, supporting smooth knowledge transfer to implementation teams.
- Deliver engaging technical presentations and customized product demos to key decision-makers.
- Lead the technical side of the sales cycle, assisting with RFP responses, qualification of prospects, and closing sales opportunities.
- Build trusted relationships with key customer stakeholders and continuously enhance team skill sets through ongoing learning.
- Achieve quarterly and annual objectives and actively participate in internal training and mentorship programs.
- Understanding the business requirements of customers within multiple industries and being knowledgeable on industry-specific solutions
- Proven oral, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication and relationship skills.
- Proven time management skills in a dynamic team environment.
- Ability to work as part of a team to tackle problems in dynamic, energising environments.

Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years sales engineering role
- 5+ years of Human Capital Management software and consulting experience on enterprise HRIS solutions.
- Experience across a variety of industries (e.g. Healthcare, Financial Services, Retail, Education, Government]
- Bachelor degree or equivalent experience.
