Job Description:
The Risk Management Manager is responsible for safeguarding the organization's assets, reputation, and operations, ensuring that risks are managed effectively and in alignment with the company's overall strategic objectives. This leader will evaluate insurance policies and coverage matters, assessing risks, compiling underwriting information, as well as assist in the structuring, negotiating, purchasing, and day-to-day management of all aspects of the enterprise-wide insurance program and other risk management activities as assigned.
Position Details
This is a remote position. Incumbent will work Monday-Friday during regular business hours.
Essential Functions
+ Supports the Risk Department in the accurate preparation and timely submission of state insurance and self-insurance reports and documentation.
+ Creates and maintains electronic insurance files containing policy documents, endorsements, and related correspondence.
+ Maintains all insurance policies, create summaries of key coverage provisions for all lines of insurance coverage.
+ Prepares reports, as needed, for insurance applications, claim reviews, actuarial analyses and other risk management purposes.
+ Assists with compiling and preparing all relevant company information for brokers and insurers in connection with insurance renewals and marketing of the enterprise-wide insurance program.
+ Works collaboratively across the organization and with vendors to ensure enterprise-wide vendor contracts contain appropriate insurance and indemnification provisions based on contractual risk.
+ Partners with supply chain and other related functions to review opportunities for contract improvement.
+ Conducts training sessions and workshops to raise awareness of risk management practices among caregivers, ensuring that all staff understand their roles and responsibilities in managing risk.
+ Advises business partners and enhances their strategic risk awareness as to third-party risk exposures.

Qualifications
Required:
+ Demonstrates strong working knowledge of insurance policy language, industry standards, risk management practices and principles, contract and civil law
+ Experience in a role working with confidential information of a sensitive and personal nature requiring a demonstrated ability to interact in a professional manner when faced with controversial or confrontational settings.
+ Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and assess risks, and to develop effective mitigation strategies.
+ Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey risk-related information to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
+ Demonstrates a strong sense of ethics and integrity to ensure that risk management practices are conducted in a fair and transparent manner.
+ Demonstrated collaborative, and results-oriented mindset, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
+ Demonstrated experience completing projects that demonstrate a high degree of analytical thinking directed toward managing risk and problem solving
+ Proficiency in Microsoft office suite, Word, Excel, PowerPoint..
Preferred:
+ A Bachelor’s degree in business, risk management, insurance or a related business field or paralegal certification is required. Education must be obtained from an accredited institution and is verified.

+ Frequent interactions with providers, colleagues, customers, patients/clients, and visitors that requires employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, needs, and issues quickly and accurately.
+ Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use for typing, accessing needed information, etc.
+ For roles requiring driving: Expected to drive a vehicle which requires sitting, seeing and reading signs, traffic signals, and other vehicles.
