Job Summary
Responsible for planning, executing and evaluating projects according to predetermined timelines and budgets. Builds and manages project teams ensuring quality control throughout the project lifecycle. Accomplishes project objectives by planning and evaluating project activities.Please Note: This position will support Central Division Tech Ops and Engineering focused projects with a focus on frontline technician activities. This is a hybrid position: 4 days in-office/1 day remote.Job Description
Core Responsibilities
Oversees critical Tech Ops & Engineering projects, ensuring progress, providing status updates, monitoring delays, and implementing necessary adjustments.
Collaborates with key stakeholders and senior leaders to define project requirements and establish clear objectives.
Exercises independent decision-making and discretion in critical matters.
Skilled at leveraging influence to obtain stakeholder approval and propelling project activities forward.
Creates and sustains detailed project documentation, including project plans, status updates, and risk evaluations.
Ensures consistent communication with stakeholders, sharing updates on project progress, risks, and mitigation plans.
Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Additional Notes
Please note, this role will also include responsibility for Smartsheet Governance: Managing the team’s Smartsheet site, driving continuous improvement and enhancing the functionality of our Control Center.
Preferred Requirements
Telecommunications experience required.
Smartsheet experience highly preferred.
5+ years project management experience.
Knowledge of telecommunications and construction or utility.
Strong written and verbal communication skills to a variety of stakeholders.Strong change management skills.
Strong critical thinking or problem-solving skills.
PMP/ProSci certification preferred.
