Job Summary and Qualifications
Serves as project management subject matter expert for an HCA division and actively supports the successful execution of division programs and projects to meet the division business objectives; manages the day-to-day activities of assigned division projects; performs resource and portfolio management analysis to assist the CIO in making project prioritization and workload decisions; facilitates the division’s project intake and governance processes; maintains ITG Project Management Center alignment, expertise, and competencies across the division; supports and uses HCA Project Management methodologies and tools as appropriate. Will serve as single point of contact for complex HCA enterprise deployments and will work closely with enterprise project managers and division project leaders in these deployments. Responsible for managing IT projects of significant complexity and may manage projects with significant interdependencies with active projects or existing systems; manage and track interrelated projects as programs. Responsible for annual, strategic year end planning at the division level. In a division with multiple project managers, may be responsible for mentoring and/or training new project managers.
Leadership and relationship management to include a proven ability to develop strong stakeholder relationships from staff level to executive suite, demonstrated collaboration skills to partner with stakeholders to define focused objectives and execute specific programs/projects. Orchestrate and navigate project management and ITG processes across the HCA environment in direct support of the Division CIO.
A working manager at the division level with duties that include, but are not limited to
Program/Project Driver- a working manager able to execute complex, interdependent division program objectives while providing project management subject matter expertise and support to the project leaders to achieve those objectives; organize activities into manageable work packages for division and facility team members and determining an effective approach to completing work.
Program/Project Planning- ensure appropriate timing, resourcing and sequencing of work efforts are aligned to produce the desired project result within a given period of time; support the CIO in scheduling project work given resource constraints and defined priorities; oversee division deployment project schedules to minimize intra-project conflict and facility activity conflict; manage relationships to accomplish the activities; lead annual, strategic year end planning for the division.
Portfolio Status Reporting- Monitors project activities and reporting utilizing HCA standard reporting processes and tools; oversees division portfolio status reporting and review process; provides status reporting to C-Suite, ITG CIO, Division leadership and Division/Facility project leaders on a prescribed cadence (i.e. quarterly, monthly or weekly as directed).
- Bachelor’s Degree Preferred Or 7+ years of equivalent education and/or experience
- Healthcare 5+ years Preferred
- Information Technology 5+ years Preferred
