You will collaborate across multiple departments to communicate updates and changes to keep projects on track. In This Role
- Partner with the Product Development and International Sourcing teams to create and maintain the annual Product Development calendar
- Drive key launch initiatives by maintaining clear milestones, timelines, and communication throughout product lifecycles
- Partner with the Marketing team to align product development milestones with asset creation, ensuring all marketing materials are in sync with product timelines
- Track and manage product development milestones by season; proactively report any delays to the Product Development and Merchandising teams in collaboration with the Product Development Coordinator Team
- Monitor and communicate seasonal product movements with Product Development, Merchandising, Planning and Marketing teams
- Lead the tracking management of sample shipments and communicate arrival dates to Product Development, Warehouse and Marketing teams
- Proactively identify and resolve product launch constraints to ensure an efficient sample pulling and approval process
- Partner with Product Development and Coordinator teams to create a final launch list for each season; aligning on preset launch parameters
- Own the communication and distribution of final launch lists to stakeholders
- Lead and mentor direct report(s), ensuring efficient and effective operations
- Provide coaching, training, and mentorship to team members, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge required to perform their jobs effectively
- Monitor team performance, provide feedback, and ensure that company policies and procedures are being followed
- Oversee daily activities, ensuring the team achieves operational goals and meets key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Promote a positive and collaborative team environment, encouraging staff engagement and teamwork
- Domestic travel as needed

The Ideal Person
- 5+ years of retail planning, buying or equivalent analytical experience (furniture industry experience highly preferred)
- Advanced knowledge of Excel required
- Bachelors Degree in Merchandising or related field required
- Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative and ownership of assigned work projects
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Highly organized and motivated individual with an attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to influence cross-functionally
