Duties and Responsibilities:- Supports, oversees, and executes the integration of the Pharmacy Management System with other enterprise systems, such as Salesforce or an ERP, and ensures seamless data flow and interoperability between the Pharmacy Management System and other relevant applications.
- Serves as the technical lead for the implementation of the Pharmacy Management System, including system configuration, customization, and deployment.
- Collaborates with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure successful software installations and upgrades.
- Establishes and maintains strong relationships with software vendors.
- Coordinates with vendors to address issues, implements updates, and stays informed of new features and enhancements.
- Stays informed about emerging trends and developments in pharmacy technology and regulatory requirements, proactively implementing changes as needed.
- Oversees routine maintenance tasks, including software updates, patches, and system optimizations.
- Implements and manages a schedule for regular backups and data recovery procedures.
- Implements robust security measures to protect sensitive patient data and prevent unauthorized access or breaches.
- Ensures pharmacy systems comply with relevant regulations, standards, and industry guidelines, such as HIPAA, HITECH, and FDA regulations.
- Works closely with pharmacy staff to understand workflow requirements and customizes the system accordingly.
- Identifies opportunities for process improvement and optimizes system workflows to enhance efficiency.
- Utilizes reporting tools to analyze data related to pharmacy operations, system performance, and user activities.Generate reports for management to make informed decisions and identify areas for improvement.
- Implements quality assurance processes to identify and address potential issues before they impact system performance.Conduct regular audits to ensure data accuracy and system reliability.
- Partners with department leadership in the hiring process including interviewing, training, and onboarding new employees.
- Leads and mentors a team of IT professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Sets clear goals and expectations for team members, provide regular feedback, and facilitates professional development opportunities to enhance skills and capabilities.

Knowledge and Skills:- Proficiency in relevant programming languages and technologies used in pharmacy management systems.
- Strong understanding of system integration principles and practices.
- In-depth knowledge of pharmacy operations, healthcare workflows, and regulatory requirements in the healthcare industry.
- Demonstrated project management skills with a track record of successfully leading complex projects from initiation to completion.
- Proven ability to provide effective technical support and troubleshoot user issues.
- Familiarity with healthcare data security best practices and a deep understanding of compliance requirements, such as HIPAA.
- Ability to adapt to evolving technologies and changing business requirements in the healthcare and pharmacy domains.

- Minimum of 8 years of experience in application management, specifically in healthcare or pharmacy settings.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in IT leadership role with focus on pharmacy systems or healthcare IT.
- Proven experience in successfully implementing and supporting Pharmacy Management Systems.
