Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Manager of WMS Development to lead and oversee software and system-driven initiatives, focusing on warehouse management systems (WMS). This is a critical role in ensuring accurate reporting, efficient data access, and supporting informed decision-making. The position involves managing development and support teams, both local and outsourced, as well as conducting daily surveys of warehouse processes to ensure synergy between operations and systems. This role requires strong leadership in application development, configuration, and system modifications to meet the evolving needs of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain direct communication with operational resources within the warehouse to ensure smooth operations.
• Attend meetings for new customer rollouts or process needs with strong attention to detail.
• Provide technical leadership and application design for management applications.
• Manage the development, QA, and Help Desk teams to ensure high-quality support and services.
• Direct the technical and functional design process, ensuring alignment with business goals.
• Work closely with business analysts and project teams to gather and document business requirements for new features and system enhancements.
• Manage performance and development of IT team members, providing mentorship and guidance.
• Coordinate the complete lifecycle of system implementations, from design through to deployment, involving relevant project teams, third-party vendors, and service/support groups.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and implementation of new systems and features.
• Research and evaluate emerging technology solutions to optimize business processes.
• Serve as a technical resource to development teams, helping with troubleshooting and resolving complex issues.
• Create and maintain system specifications and documentation.
• Establish and communicate technology standards and best practices.
• Present findings, recommendations, and insights to stakeholders across various departments.
• Review applications architecture, identifying risks, and recommending improvements.
• Prioritize multiple projects, ensuring deadlines and business requirements are met.
• Oversee the configuration and setup of software applications and solutions to align with business needs.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in systems management, analysis, and reporting.
• Proven experience in software implementation, particularly within WMS/OMS environments.
• Knowledge of Manhattan Software's SCALE (Windows-based) WMS.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• A critical thinker with a focus on continuous improvement and efficiency.
• Proven leadership and collaboration skills to guide teams and drive operational success.
• Ability to train and mentor employees, and assist with problem-solving and decision-making.
• Proficiency in computer literacy, with the ability to develop protocols and procedures as necessary.
