About the Job
Essential Functions:
·andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp; Direct and supervise the Assistant Managers of Road Operations, Road Operations Supervisors, Movement Directors, and Traffic Dispatchers.
·andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp; Develops and implements On-Time Performance (OTP) strategies in an effort to meet the OTP goals of the Tactical Plan
·andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp; In the Directors absence, chairs the Right of Way Allocation Meeting and prepares and distributes all necessary reports and Operating Orders as required for said meeting.
·andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp; Ensures that all Road Operations personnel are proficient in using Clever CAD and can make the necessary service adjustments that allow for revenue service to remain on schedule.
·andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp;andnbsp; Directs and supervise the overall Road Operations reporting processes, including but not limited to; the Daily Bus DOR, IQ Software, Dandamp;A Reports, etc.
Job requirements include:
• High school diploma or GED.
• Bachelor's degree in transportation, business administration, public administration or related field from an accredited college or university. Related experience may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis.
• Minimum five (5) years' experience in transportation or related field. No certifications or licenses required.
• Minimum of five (5) years supervisory experience.
• Willingness and ability to respond to 24-hour emergency calls.
• Effective and professional communication skills.
• Thorough knowledge of PRT service area.
• Thorough knowledge of Western Pennsylvania highway, road, street, rail, and waterway networks.
• Demonstrated ability in the use of Windows.
• Customer focused.
• Valid Commercial Driver’s Class B License with a “P" endorsement.?
• This is a Safety Sensitive position subject to all testing provisions under the Drug and Alcohol Policy, including random drug and alcohol testing. The person selected for this position may be required to be tested prior to being awarded the job.
Preferred Attributes:
• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience as a Bus or Light Rail Operator; or two (2) years’ experience in one of the following positions within Bus or Road Operations: Route Foreman; Bus Instructor; Traffic Dispatcher.
