Job Summary:
- Skilled in equipment design and selection for power plants and industrial markets, specializing in technologies such as SCR, SNCR,. Self-motivated and results-driven, with a proven ability to deliver high-quality outcomes with minimal supervision. Possesses strong leadership and communication skills, aligning departmental objectives with overarching goals and managing teams across various disciplines, including project engineering, instrumentation and controls (I&C), and CAD design.
Job Duties:
- Reviews and understands project contracts and documents to support direct reports with scope, schedule, budget, deliverables, and risk management
- Identifies resource bottlenecks and communicates solutions to Project Managers and department leaders
- Develops conceptual designs, equipment requirements, and engineering inputs for detailed design; performs detailed design, BOM development, and drawing accuracy reviews.
- Manages design, fabrication inspections, final inspections, testing, startup, and optimization for project deliverables.
- Ensures all equipment and services comply with relevant codes and standards for design, safety, and quality.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including sales, process engineers, technicians, field startup teams, vendors, consultants, and clients.
- Conducts site visits to review progress, resolve issues, and attend meetings; may support critical power plant outages requiring extended hours over several weeks.
- Tracks and reports project status through detailed reports, meeting minutes, budget analyses, and action lists, ensuring proper archival of records.
- Monitors resource risks and adjusts assignments to avoid or minimize negative impacts.
- Stays updated on technical advancements in relevant fields and recommends improvements or new products to supervisors.
- Ensures compliance with company policies, including safety, quality, affirmative action, and equal opportunity initiatives.
- Performs all tasks responsibly and safely, adhering to laws, codes, and site-specific regulations while striving to meet client expectations.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required
- Project Management certification is a desirable bonus.
- Extensive expertise in SNCR, SCR, and Urea-to-Ammonia conversion systems is essential.
- Deep knowledge of utility boilers, industrial furnaces, and related equipment is critical, along with proficiency in the technical disciplines outlined for this role.
- Minimally 6+ years of progressively responsible experience in project management or project engineering, with a strong track record in handling capital projects.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage and lead direct reports, fostering collaboration and accountability.
