Job Summary
The Manager of Marketing and Communications at the NCCAOM is responsible for enhancing user-friendly communication with stakeholders by developing marketing materials for the NCCAOM website, handbooks, social media sites, advertisements, and brochures. The role ensures seamless external communication, maintains best practices, and upholds a positive public relations image for the NCCAOM.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with the COO to generate marketing campaigns to various stakeholder groups.
- Serve as a social media account administrator for platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, and YouTube Pages.
- Work with COO to develop and launch new social media accounts/groups as approved by senior staff.
- Provide backup for report creation within the candidate/Diplomate system as needed.
- Work with the COO to promote the NCCAOM Official Practice Tests to applicants and schools.
- Send out Professional Development & Education (PDA) Department reminders via digital channels for upcoming PDA Spotlight advertisements.
- Work with COO and PDA department to develop and run marketing campaigns for PDA approved courses.
- Act as project manager for the creation and administration of multifaceted online courses in collaboration it the COO and PDA Department.
- Propose and develop graphics and layout for email campaigns, social media, and web design solutions.
- Propose, develop, and update the NCCAOM’s social media and marketing policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with the COO and all departments to develop and update web pages as approved by senior staff.
- Propose, develop, and administer marketing campaigns as needed.
- Work with COO to produce “The Diplomate E-News You Can Use” newsletter.
- Collaborate with COO to develop and administer all surveys and marketing campaigns.
- Work with Senior Staff to produce PowerPoint presentations and other electronic documents for private webinars, CEO external communications, and Board correspondence.
- Work with COO and Business Operations Manager on budgets for certification and Diplomate services.
- Code incoming invoices related to marketing according to current GL structure.
PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS FOR ALL STAFF:
- Respect the confidentiality of information learned through employment with the NCCAOM.
- Perform job responsibilities in compliance with the policies and procedures contained in the NCCAOM Employee Handbook.
- Communicate with stakeholders through e-mail or on the telephone, as needed.
- Participate in departmental/office staff meetings.
- Annually read the review and provide input into the job description and associated training task list during annual performance development review.
- Assist with maintaining and developing departmental policies and procedures.
- Implement all policies and procedures of the organization in compliance with the internal management system.
- Perform job responsibilities in accordance with NCCAOM requirements.
- Follow all NCCAOM security policies and procedures.
- Maintain a professional courteous and respectful attitude toward fellow employees.
- Support other department activities.
- Maintain a courteous and respectful attitude toward applicants, Diplomates, NCCAOM Board members, or other members of the public.
- Promote positive public relations for the NCCAOM.
- Perform all tasks safely and responsibly.
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Excellent communication skills, logical thinking, organization, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Hands-on skills in graphic and web design (examples submitted for review)
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- A minimum of five years in experience with data models, queries, and reporting.
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Additional technical certification preferred.
- Financial experience working with budgets preferred.
- Project management experience required.
The salary range for this role is from $65,000 - $70,000.
Working Conditions
This is a regular full-time, position Monday-Friday. This position is remote with some travel to the Washington D.C. office required. Candidate must have quiet and isolated workspace at home designated for work. Extended hours may be required during deadline periods or before special external events. Requires frequent sitting, repetitive wrist, hand, and finger movements. Occasional lifting of objects less than 20 pounds. NCCAOM offices are located at 2001 K street NW, 3rd floor North, Washington DC 20006.
