The Leave and Benefits Administration Manager supports the administration of Erickson Senior Living’s benefit programs. These programs include medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans, 401(k), FSA, HSA, EAP, and various leave programs. The Manager serves as a subject matter expert for the benefit plans and leave administration, working in partnership with our benefit and leave management vendors.
This role is located at our home office in Catonsville, MD.

How you will make an impact
Manage vendor relationship to ensure quality and excellent customer service to the organization and to teammates as well as manage any vendor changes as it relates to our internal processes or HRIS systems.
Assist Assistant Director with the benefits communications strategy for the enterprise. Communicates to employees, both verbally and in written form, the specifics of benefit plans and related procedures for enrollment, claims and subsequent changes to plans.
Manage the filing of annual compliance regulations such as 5500’s, PCORI, and 401K discrimination testing
Leads informational meetings as a trainer/speaker for leave and benefits topics.
Administer all aspects of the FMLA and disability leave programs, including FMLA and ADA; communicate with Human Resources partners, managers and employees about leave availability and requirements. Conduct and facilitate education and presentations of leave of absence programs and provisions to teammates, as well internal partners.
Manage the benefits arrears process to ensure timely payment for continuation of benefits while out on leave.
Manage the Leave Administrator and Benefits Analyst
Compensation: $80000 - $95000 per year, plus eligibility for annual bonus.
What you’ll need
Experience in benefit administration (medical plans, FSA, 401k, EAP, etc.)
Minimum of 4 years of Leave Administration experience required, including experience in a senior role.
In depth knowledge of benefits compliance regulations such as ACA, 5500’s, PCORI, 401K discrimination testing and state laws.
Ability to maintain up-to-date working knowledge of relevant laws including FMLA, ADA, workers’ compensation, HIPAA, and other privacy laws.
Demonstrated technical skills with respect to leave data to conduct analysis, problem solve, conduct process improvements, spot trends, and resolve issues.
A consultative approach. Strong communication skills in a variety of channels (written, one-on-one, group).
Proficiency in Excel, Word, and HRIS system (Workday and UKG preferred).
