The Manager of Human Resources at Americor plays an important role in fostering a positive and supportive work environment by promoting employee well-being, ensuring access to valuable resources, and providing valuable employee insights via data and reporting. This leader is responsible for the strategic leadership and operational oversight of the company's compensation and benefits programs, and HRIS. This includes designing, implementing, and managing comprehensive benefits packages, and providing compensation research and guidance that attract, retain, and motivate employees while ensuring cost-effectiveness and compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. This role also includes oversight of HRIS and data insights which provide meaningful human capital insights to the business.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Total Rewards Strategy and Design:
- Implement and monitor a comprehensive benefits strategy aligned with the company's overall business objectives and employee needs.
- Conduct regular market research and benchmark analyses to ensure the competitiveness of benefit offerings.
- Evaluate and recommend new or enhanced benefit programs to meet the evolving needs of the workforce.
- Oversee the annual benefits open enrollment process, including communication, education, and system updates.
- HRIS and Data Management:
- Oversee the benefits module within the ADP Workforce Now, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
- Serve as subject matter expert for data mapping, carrier connections, EDI files, and discrepancy reporting.
- Identify opportunities for reporting and benchmarking within ADP.
- Generate reports and analyze data to identify trends, measure program effectiveness, and inform decision-making.
- Collaborate with carriers and ADP analytics to implement system enhancements and upgrades.
- Ensure the security and confidentiality of employee benefits data.
- Benefits Administration and Compliance:
- Manage the day-to-day administration of all benefit programs, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, retirement plans, and employee assistance programs.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to employee benefits, including ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, and FMLA.
- Manage relationships with benefit vendors and brokers, negotiate contracts, and ensure service level agreements are met.
- Oversee processing employee benefits enrollments, terminations, and life events, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Compensation:
- Collaborate with HR leadership and executive team to develop and maintain a competitive compensation philosophy and structure.
- Analyze market data, including salary surveys, to ensure internal equity and external competitiveness.
- Manage the company's total rewards program, including compensation, benefits, and recognition initiatives.
- Develop and implement communication strategies to effectively convey the value of the company's total rewards package to employees.
- Leave Administration:
- Manage all aspects of employee leaves of absence, including FMLA, ADA, and other state and federal leave programs.
- Ensure compliance with leave laws and regulations, providing guidance and support to employees and managers.
- Oversee the processing of leave requests, tracking employee eligibility and leave balances.
- Coordinate with payroll and other departments to ensure a smooth transition for employees on leave.
- Employee Communication and Wellness:
- Develop and implement communication strategies to educate leaders and employees about benefits options and promote employee wellness.
- Foster a culture of health and wellness within the organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5 years of progressive experience in benefits administration, with at least 2 years in a management role.
- Comprehensive knowledge of employee benefits laws and regulations, including ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, and FMLA.
- Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience in transitioning to and managing self-funded health insurance plans is highly desirable.
- CEBS or PHR/SPHR certification is a plus.
Compensation: $120,000-$140,000 annually, dependent on experience.
Work Location: In-office-Irvine, CA.
