Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Manager of Grant Accounting - Brooklyn.
In this role, the successful candidate Reports to the Director of Grants and is responsible for managing all aspects of the Federal Foundation and other grants assigned Responsible for all grant accounting Covers for Director in his/her absence
Job Responsibilities:
- Supervises 2 4 Grant Accountants
- For Federal Grants assigned maintains grant budget vs actual variance reports submits quarterly and annual federal financial reports nbsp;
- Assist the Director of Grants in Managing overall department grant tasks/scheduling and follow up required
- Coordinates with program staff and fiscal grants coordinators to ensure proper allocation of cost to the grants
- Assists in the compilation of the annual HRSA annual UDS report
- Assists with the preparation of Year End work papers for Financial Statements and Auditors
- Maintains proper accounting and tracking of foundation grants and contributions Submits financial reports as required by Foundations and other grants assigned
- Works on special grant related projects for either the Director of Grants or VP of Finance
- Assists in the preparation of budgets and other financial materials for new grant proposals and renewals
- Communicates monthly with staff with corrective actions regarding appointed grants
- Analyses payroll information time and effort attestations program staff grid/ allocations and general ledger salary expenses to ensure proper allocations to the grants
- Prepares and executes Federal HHS drawdowns as scheduled
- Submits monthly and year end general ledger closing entries for grant revenue expenses and receivables on all federal grants
- Additional duties as required
Minimum Qualifications:
- To qualify you must have a Minimum 3 years in leadership positions either in non profit or for profit organizations.
- Bachelor s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- Minimum 5 years experience in accounting.
- Preferred experience in grant accounting.
- Experience in developing and managing small teams of 2 5 people.
- Demonstrated ability to work with all levels of stakeholders externally and internally to the organization
- Excel experience is a MUST.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master s Degree preferred Peoplesoft Financials preferred Grant Accounting preferred

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $66,415.19 - $82,488.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
